Here are 7 must-have steps for your Google+ Business Page set up that will help you grow your business with Google+.
Focus on the Introduction -[second heading from left- below the photo array] this is where you get to go more in depths about your company and its goals, products, services etc., Be sure to add information that is a synopsis of what is on your site, be sure to add some links within the content to allow the visitor to go directly to your site/blog to learn more.
Your new Google+ business page provides you with a ten word tagline. This brief summary about your business will act as an introduction for those who are unfamiliar with your company. Do not skip this step and do not take it lightly. It has been proven that most people only skim websites, so be sure to write a concise but engaging tagline.
In the About section you have ‘Recommended links‘ on the right. this is where you add all the links to your site/blog/products etc.
Use your company logo for the profile picture, as this provides instant recognition for your current customers. Be aware that the size restrictions placed on Google+ make a square profile picture a necessity. Create a square version of your logo no more than 400 x 400.
Upload photos to the array at the top of the about page ( 5 across) that best represent the overall feel of your company or brand.
Posts in your stream should be shared Public as well as with your business circles. Posting updates relating to your business is a must, however, be sure to add other items that could be of use or of interest to your customers . Posting less but consistent is a better way to go.. a single post a day is a fair start as long as you are monitoring your comments and engaging, engaging engaging!
#7 SPREAD THE WORD
On the right hand side of the page you will see ‘Spread the Word’. Share your new page so people can follow you. Google+ business. You may want to repeat this one every few weeks to start to build your following.
